How To Sync/Back up RoboForm Data Files
The following information will guide you on how to properly perform a sync or backup of your RoboForm data:
- In the RoboForm toolbar mouse over Sync button and select Show Changed Files without Syncing. Do not just click the Sync button on the first sync, as you want to examine sync changes before actually performing them.
- If GoodSync is not installed, RoboForm will propose to install it. Agree to it.
- Sync RoboForm Data dialog will be shown. Select folder to sync with or to backup to. This folder can be on RoboForm Online Server or on any local / portable disk or online server.
- Analyze will be performed and proposed changes will be shown to you.
- Make sure that the job direction is what you want. Go to Job > Options > 1 - Way Left to Right to backup or Job > Options > 2 - Way to sync.
- Click the Sync button to complete your sync/backup.
- After your initial Sync or Backup seems OK, you can just click Sync button on RoboForm toolbar and sync/backup RoboForm data in 1 click, without checking Analyze results.
- Moreover, you can make RoboForm Data sync automatically on any change, by mousing over Sync button in RoboForm toolbar and checking 'Automatically Synchronize'.
- The following computer-specific files are excluded from the sync: license.rfo, cache.rfo, mru.rfo.
