The following information will guide you on how to properly setup a sync or backup with your Outlook Express data:
*Note: To perform the actual sync between Outlook Express and GoodSync, Outlook Express must be closed. Outlook Express stores its data in several files located in the Outlook Express data folder.
1) Find the location of the Outlook Express folder first by opening Outlook Express and selecting Tools -> Options -> Maintenance -> Store Folder. Please remember/record the location of the folder.
2) Close Outlook Express, and open GoodSync.
3) Click Browse on the left side and select Outlook Express folder you recorded earlier.
4) Click Browse on the right side and select the destination folder to sync with/back up to.
*Note: by default you are performing a sync, if you want to back up instead, first select Job > Options > 1- Way Left to Right, and then continue with step 4)
5) Start the sync/backup process by clicking the Analyze button.
6) Click the Sync button to complete your sync/backup.
